Now for the rest of us...

We have covered Carrie's big news. Now for the rest of us. Frankie turned nine in February. Bob and I took a vacation in March, to Las Vegas. This was our fifth anniversay so he felt he needed to return to the "scene of the crime" as he so eloquently put it. My grandparents Harris came to mind the children while we were gone. (Thank you, again.) Then in April, I became the mother of a twelve year old; and as any mother can tell you as soon as your child turns twelve they become much more knowledgable than you are now or ever were. All the children got out of school in May and due to the fact that the south is trying to catch up to north (per usual) they do not go back until August 20th,(usually it's the first couple days of August) so they have the longest summer break they've ever had. My Grandparent's Stewart and my Dad came to visit us toward the end of May. And there was alot of fun and way too much being up too late visiting. Right now Gage and Frankie are in Syracuse visiting with my parents and grandparents, which means Gage has left the upkeep of the garden he and I started together totally to me. (Thanks, son) However, Rylin is helping me now and it has been expanded due to "Rylin's Punkin' Patch" which Bob was forced to make a sign for and which will be prominently displayed as it should be. Finn's surgery is scheduled for tomorrow and it looks like we will actually make it this time. Third times the charm as they say!! Actually, I'm very nervous... it is not a very serious surgery but I think about them putting him under and he is so small... actually, he is quite big but appears small because he is the last one. Oh, Bob has gotten a promotion, he is now Service Manager and makes those under him refer to him as "Boss"... anyone, who has ever met Bob knows that this is a dream come true for him as mine and the kids refusal to refer to him as 'boss' has been a source of perpetual disapointment for him. Sorry honey, wouldn't be a good day if I didn't have a bit of a laugh off you at least once. : )

Well, I must go get my chores done as I'm trying to work ahead a bit in case Finn needs constant comfort for the next few days/nights. Hopefully not, but we'll see. Plan for the worst and hope for the best seems to be sound advice.

Could you all stop your harrassment of me now? Especially the McKee's! I will post some pictures but they are a bit out of date. I will solemly swear to try to keep my blog updated by at least 3 months from now on. Actually, it has occured to me it would be much easier to do regularly than try to remember what has occured in the past six months and when was the last time I downloaded my camera. (The beginning of May I think)

Oh, and no Marsel, it was not the ice. I was riding one of the kids bikes and fell off. Go and have your fun at my expense.

Welcome back, Jessa-we have missed you. It is nice to think of you so close now and perhaps in the fall when things slow down for you we can make and keep a rondevous! A hug and love from, Mrs Minota

Hee hee hee -- I can laugh at you without malice because I am still a klutz. The other day I kicked a football (in my bare feet) to impress David and bruised my foot so badly we were afraid it was broken. When will we ever grow up?! :-)

And welcome back! I am so happy to have you back in the blogging world!!!
